Our hunting program in an essential part of our habitat management plan. We try to maintain our deer population at the optimum carring capacity for the habitat. Our annual harvests are determined with the assistance of a Texas Parks and Wildlife biologist. Every fall, after we complete census counts, we establish the number of deer we will harvest from the property. We limit our hunting to fully mature bucks, cull bucks, does and spikes.
In addition to our whitetail deer, we also have offer hunting for feral hogs and a limitted number of sika deer.
All our blinds have corn feeders during the season. Each blind can comfortably accomodate 2-3 hunters. The large blinds are perfect for parents eager to introduce their children to the sport of hunting.
All hunts require a Petersen Ranch guide.
