Photoblinds

The Petersen ranch has developed dedicated nature photography sets at various locations around the ranch. These sets are designed to provide photographers with the best possible scenario for capturing great images of wildlife at the ranch. Each set has a dedicated photoblind, water source and is maintained continuously with supplemental feed for the wildlife. Over time, the wildlife becomes habituated to the areas around the blinds and visit often for a bite to eat or a drink.

Each blind is located with 12-15 feet of the water and feeding areas and are situated to provide the proper frontal lighting in either the morning or evening.

Each blind measures 8 ft. long by 5 ft. deep by 5 ft. tall and can easily accommodate two photographers and all their gear, with room to spare.

Other blinds, such as this carrion blind are placed around the ranch to take advantage of season opportunities such as spring turkey displays or winter waterfowl.
