"I have had the privilege of photographing on some of the finest wildlife ranches in Texas. In April 2006, I had the privilege of spending a solid month shooting at the Petersen Ranch, and got to know it in intimate detail. I have to say that it is an incredible ranch, not only because of the staggering variety of wildlife and fantastic photoblinds, but also because it is ribboned by beautiful Hill Country canyons, flowing steams, pristine lakes, beautiful landscapes and vistas. The Petersen Ranch has professionally designed photography blinds. These blinds can comfortably accomodate two photographers and all of their gear. Each blind is placed to offer the photographer a variety of photographic opportunites and have been positioned to take advantage of the prime lighting that is present early and late in the day. Some of the blinds have dedicated water sources and supplemental feed is provided year around to entice the wildlife to frequent the photography blind sites.
